Mālama Kaiāulu: How We’re Doing our Part to Nourish the Community
While much of our work here at The Last Resort is centered around hosting visitors on the Big Island of Hawai’i, we also strongly value being involved in our local community of North Kohala.
In Hawaiian, Mālama Kaiāulu means to take care of your community, preserve and protect it. A large part of this also focuses on preserving land, spirit and local culture. We strive to embody this practice and preserve the spirit of Aloha in all that we do. This value especially rings true in our land restoration and regenerative agricultural practices at The Last Resort.
